Carter Kneeland brings over 15 years of government relations experience to the clients of Ethical Influence LLC. As a thought leader in the arena of ethics compliance and government relations advocacy, Ms. Kneeland provides a background in state government acquired from years of service in the public and private sectors. This unique background provides the clients of Ethical Influence with insight into public policy and the ways in which they interact with government.

Carter Kneeland began her career in the Connecticut legislature as Clerk of the General Law Committee where she learned the intricate workings of the General Assembly and political caucuses. She then moved on to work at the Department of Consumer Protection as a Frauds Investigator, handling consumer complaints and interpreting the statutes and regulations to prepare cases for the Attorney General’s Office. Ms. Kneeland then spent over 15 years with the Government Relations Group at the law firm of Robinson Cole LLP where she executed corporate communications and public relations campaigns including creation of all online and printed marketing materials and grassroots email campaigns, designed and executed strategic online services including design of lobbyist web-based legislative tracking system and provided ethics compliance consulting and guidance to clients.
