Campaign Finance Disclaimers on Social Media Sites

I recall talking about this issue with colleagues a year ago and now that the campaign season is really heating up, the State Elections Enforcement Commission has decided to interpret the new campaign finance law by saying that campaigns must put disclaimers on their social sites. I’m totally in favor of full transparency but Yikes - do they understand that this would eat up your entire Twitter character allowance?

State of Confusion - Clean Elections Program Awaits Court Decision

Ever Since the Clean Elections Program law was put into effect, Connecticut has been trying to figure out how to implement it and what it means. Now the court is trying to sort it all out. The constitutional issues and practical application issues are immense.
