Ethics Board Chair Admits Wrongdoing - Agency Lobbies for Legislative Changes

Office of State Ethics Chairman Kenneth Bernhard admitted wrongdoing last week when he was found to have made contributions to Governor Rell and a couple of State House candidates back in 2008. In other OSE news, the agency is busy getting underway with the 2010 legislative session.

Update – Definition of Lobbying Being Changed and Registration Fee Increase

At last Thursday’s Board meeting of the Office of State Ethics, further discussion was focused on changing the definition of lobbying. In addition, the Citizens Board took action on a full legislative agenda presented by the agency’s staff making a range of changes to the current statute. Finally, the Board had proposed a registration fee increase.
